Sizing

Micha, owner of Blooming Boutique is 5'8" tall and typically wears an XL in tops.  Her bottoms size can vary between L and XL in Lulu B and Escape and she wears an 11 or 13 in Judy Blue, Mica, and Vervet Jeans.  For jeans that are waist measured, she is a 30 (relaxed fit) or 31 (skinny fit).

Cat, marketing guru is 5'2" tall and typically wears an XS in all lines at Blooming Boutique.  She wears a small in the Lulu B linen jacket.  For jeans she wears a 5 or 26.  For skinny jeans, she wears a 27.

Blooming Boutique will gladly accept your return or exchange of unworn, unwashed, and defective clothing merchandise by mail. You must submit a claim through the returns/exchange portal within 15 days of delivery to be eligible for a return or exchange.  A return shipping label will be provided through the portal.   Please call 302-296-6360 or support@bloomingboutique.com if you have issues.

Michiko Seto, Owner

Michiko Seto, (Micha) a Jersey Shore native, founded Blooming Boutique. She spent many summers working in various types of small businesses and dreaming about owning a business of her own one day. Graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Michiko Seto, obtained valuable experience working in management positions in retail, banking and direct sales. From summer jobs to post-graduation experiences, the dream unfolded.

While on vacation in 2004, Micha happened upon some unique handbags and beach bags that were as pricey as they were beautiful. Being inspired, Michiko Seto designed beautiful, unique but affordable bags for her friends and family. Creatively, the bags progressed from silk flowers to adding various trim of beads, fringes, seashells, and even changeable trims. The public began taking notice of the Blooming Bags. Seeing the opportunity for a business, Michiko Seto began looking for a place to sell her bags.

A Growing Business

Michiko Seto's first Blooming Boutique location opened in August of 2006, in a small, 375 square foot space located at 107 W. Market Street in downtown Lewes, Delaware. It began with all different Blooming Bags and a few handbag accessories.

Blooming Boutique was an immediate success and has now grown into 9 stores. Blooming Boutique has 3 locations in Southern Delaware including Long Neck and two locations in Lewes. Other stores include:

Over the years Blooming Boutique has moved into larger locations which has allowed Blooming Boutique to expand the product lines carried.  Blooming Boutique now offers resort wear fashion in a range of sizes all year long in the stores and online.  Clothing brands include Lulu B, Beachtime by Lulu B, Tango Mango, Oh My Gauze, Escape by Habitat, Judy Blue Jeans and more.  Many lines offer products suitable for regular, petite-height (women under 5’4”), and tall, with sizes ranging from x-small to 3X.  Shoe brands include, Ilse Jacobsen, Fit Flops, OkaBs,and Tidewater flip-flops with sizes ranging from 5 to 11. A gorgeous selection of handbags can be found in-store and online, including Vendula of London, Joy Susan, Jen and Co, and Beaded Club Bags. Also, made-in-the-USA earring lines Sienna Sky, Adajio, Silver Forest, and Spirit are available in Lewes and Long Neck.  Additionally, costume jewelry and many seasonal accessories can be found in all locations.

Maggie

Director of Client Relations, Queen of the Belly Rubs, and Vice President of Greeting; Maggie goes by many names!  Maggie is usually glued to Micha's side and can often be found at the Lewes location. 

Alyssa

Alyssa is the Director of E-commerce and Marketing and has been with the company since 2014. Additionally, Alyssa assists Micha on buying trips to help source the everchanging products at Blooming Boutique.  In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her son, daughter, and husband.   

Bernie 

Bernie has been with Micha and Blooming Boutique practically since the beginning!  Bernie enjoys shopping and spending time with her grandchildren as much as possible. Bernie can often be found in Lewes and Long Neck locations. 

Cat

Social media expert, live show model, shipper of all pretty things, Cat wears many hats at Blooming Boutique!  Cat spends her free time continuing her education, painting, and spending time with her husband Peter, and their beloved dog, Kona!

Kathy

You’ll always find Kathy’s warm smile greeting you at Blooming Boutique in Lewes. A former teacher, she brings patience, care, and a deep product knowledge to everything she does. Whether you're shopping for a wardrobe refresh or the perfect accessory, Kathy is excited to help you find your new favorite look. Outside the boutique, she loves spending quality time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Myriah

Known as our resident Jean Expert and a part-time model for our commercials and website, Myriah brings both style and expertise to the Lewes store. She’s passionate about helping customers look and feel their best, always delivering exceptional service with a smile.

1. What is the difference between Lulu B and Beachtime by Lulu B? 

Beachtime is a division of Lulu B.  Beachtime uses an SPF+50 rated fabric just like Lulu B, however the fabric content is slightly different:

Lulu B: 92% Nylon, 8% Spandex (feels like a bathing suit)

Beachtime by Lulu B:  94% Nylon, 6% Spandex (slightly thinner, very high end, textured feel)

The Beachtime brand has different prints than Lulu B, but many of the same clothing style options as "traditional Lulu B".  Beachtime is NOT a knock-off Lulu B.  

2. Are there any custom Lulu B or Beachtime clothing items at Blooming Boutique?

Yes!  We love working with Lulu B / Beachtime by Lulu B to make custom prints or cuts.  Currently, the only place you can get these items is at Blooming Boutique:

3. Do you re-stock sold out items?

Yes! We re-stock items as they sell daily!  We re-order from Lulu B and Beachtime weekly, and we re-stock other product lines from our physical stores daily. 

4. Can I place an order over the phone?

5. Can you give me more advice on what sizes to order?

Yes! We love helping customers find perfectly sized products for their body shape.  We help women every single day in-store find outfits that flatter their body style and boost their confidence.  We would love to help you in-store or talk you through your decisions over the phone (302-296-6360).  Also, watching the weekday morning show on Facebook is a great way to learn more about many of the products we carry at Blooming Boutique. 

6. Can I talk to a real human if I have an issue with my order? 

Yes! No robots here, a real-live human will answer your phone call during the hours of 9am - 5pm on Monday through Friday.  However, we are a small team, so sometimes we are helping other customers or scurrying around our warehouse to fill your order and we might miss a call.  Please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible! 

7. Where is Blooming Boutique located? 

We have physical store locations in Southern Delaware (Lewes and Long Neck).  We would love for you to shop with us in person.  If you are not local or unable to travel to us, we do ship to the entire USA.
